The Sheriff sets the tone for the entire organization, and strong leadership doesn’t happen by accident it has to be developed. I believe in investing in professional leadership training, clear communication, and fair, consistent supervision. My involvement with Leadership Kitsap reinforced what I’ve seen throughout my career: when leaders listen, collaborate, and grow, organizations perform better. Supporting deputies through training, wellness, and leadership development is not political it is how you build a professional agency that serves the community well.
Fiscal Responsibility, Transparency & Regional Partnership
Fiscal responsibility means more than balancing a budget it means being honest about challenges and working collaboratively to solve them. I believe in transparent stewardship of taxpayer dollars and building strong relationships with local and state government partners to address unfunded mandates and budget shortfalls. Public safety can not be managed in silos. By working together, we can find practical solutions that protect services, respect taxpayers, and keep politics out of public safety decisions.

I was born and raised right here in this community, and it’s where my family and friends live. That shapes how I lead and the responsibility I feel to do this job the right way. When you grow up here, you understand the people, the values, and what’s at stake. I believe the Sheriff should be visible, accessible, and accountable to the community not driven by party politics. This is not just where I work it is home, and I will always put people over politics.
