“After much consideration and with the encouragement of trusted friends, colleagues, and community members, I’ve decided to run for Kitsap County Sheriff,” Myers said. “I’ve spent my career serving this community from the front lines, and I believe my experience and leadership will help strengthen public safety while restoring trust, accountability, and proper funding for the Sheriff’s Office.”
Myers began his law-enforcement career as an Explorer Cadet in Kitsap and has since served as a Reserve Deputy, Patrol Deputy, Patrol Sergeant, Support Services Sergeant and Detective Sergeant. Over more than two decades, he has built a reputation for professionalism, collaboration, and mentorship. His experience includes advanced training in homicide investigations, crime scene processing, and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigations. He currently serves as a lead investigator on the Independent Investigations Team for officer-involved incidents. Throughout his career, Myers has emphasized transparency, accountability, and community engagement while developing the next generation of law-enforcement professionals.
“In the months ahead, I look forward to sharing my vision for how the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office can more effectively serve and protect our families, neighborhoods, and businesses,” Myers added. “Our community is at a crossroads, and meeting today’s public safety challenges requires experienced leadership and responsible stewardship of resources.”
